Oh, no! Not again!

When the previous band released Another Life in 2023, there was no real plan to record another album any time soon. Around the time of its release, the final two original members left the lineup, and truth be told, we weren’t overly thrilled with how the album’s production turned out. Meanwhile, Baz and Mark had already written over a dozen new tracks while Another Life was still being mixed — and so No Place for the Damned quickly grew from a seed into the mighty oak it eventually became.

At the time, we decided to “let it percolate,” as Baz put it, rather than rush straight into another album. But that was before we made the decision to rebrand entirely. Situations like that have a way of changing things.

Now, just a month or two on, we already have seven or eight tracks at the ‘all instruments demo’ stage — and a pile of part-written songs demanding attention. So it looks like there will be a Pyroclast album sooner rather than later.

Will it be released in 2025? Unlikely — there are a lot of factors to consider, including the release window itself. But with some big things planned for 2026, it would be ideal to get the album out ahead of those. The cogs have been lubricated and are already in motion.

Watch this space. Not literally.
